ETERNA SONRISA

by Kim Yaged - with Steve Jacobs, Lee Stripe, Daniel Scheimberg, Tancredi Volpert, Sabrina Ellenberger, Angus McGruther, Jessica Taylor and Leila Hassan

Romy Coto is a pop art sensation whose work is all the buzz in the NYC art scene.  When the NYPD makes a connection between a murder scene and her art, is it a coincidence, an obsessed fan or something more sinister?  Eterna Sonrisa is a thriller that uses multi-media to examine society’s obsession with celebrity, especially through the eyes and experiences of women.

Kim Yaged’s one-woman show  Hypocrites & Strippers was a finalist in the Bay Area Playwrights Festival, and her play America won the Audience Award at the 2009 Downtown Urban Theater Festival.  She was a co-recipient of a grant from ArtServe, the State of Michigan Council for the Arts, as well as a recipient of the Kennedy Center’s Meritorious Achievement Award.  Kim’s award-winning chamber opera www.love was showcased by the New York City Opera, and her play Vessels was commissioned for the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust in conjunction with an exhibit by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.  Kim was a writer for Feature in 48 with film and television producer Jeff Goode, and staged readings of her television pilot Jersey City have been held at Sony Studios and the Stella Adler Theatre in Los Angeles.  Her stories and poetry have been published by Random House, Cleis Press, Ballantine Books, Applause, and Arsenal Pulp Press.
