Understanding death is one of the most complex and difficult realities of human life A Year After Death deals with the themes of loss and grief among women and understanding life before and after great tragedy. Naomi, a strong willed and motherly woman has been left with her two daughter-in-laws, Ruth and Orpah, after the death of her two sons. Ruth, the older of the two has confined herself in the house while Orpah has taken to partying and wild behavior. When Orpah decides to remarry all three women are suddenly forced to deal with their own grief and the realization of who they’ve become a year later.
