LOOKING FOR ANNE creates a space for experiencing the juxtapositions of interior and exterior spaces and the numerous time lines which are inherent in "The Glass Essay". It invites the audience member to be an active participant, reading the poem or positioning him/herself in the installation.

Anne Carson
is a Canadian poet, essayist, and translator, as well as a professor of Classics and comparative literature at the University of Michigan.
Carson blends ideas and themes from many fields in her writing. She frequently references, modernizes, and translates Greek mythology. She has published ten books, all of which blend the forms of poetry, essay, prose, criticism, translation, fiction, and non-fiction. Anne Carson received the Griffin Poetry Prize (2001) and the T.S. Eliot Poetry Prize (2001) among several other literature awards.
