DANCE ME TO THE END OF LOVE
Inspired by the music of the celebrated Canadian singer, songwriter and poet Leonard Cohen, "Dance Me to the End of Love" is an interpretation of Hermann Hesse's famous novel "Siddhartha", which chronicles the quest of Siddhartha for the conquest of suffering and fear through the temptations of luxury and wealth, the delights of sensual love and the sinister threat of deadly snakes towards the fulfilment of his destiny.
Performed in English with Chinese subtitles, "Dance Me to the End of Love" is directed by Bonni Chan who also performs along with Sean Curran and Aman Yap.
Established by Bonni Chan and Sean Curran in 1992, Theatre du Pif is known for dynamic and innovative stage works that incorporate text, movement, visual elements and the physicality of the actors. The cross-cultural bilingual theatre also organises workshops for professional and community groups to promote theatre participation and creation.
